 The
rotated plan allowed for maximizing the building size,
given the zoning setback requirements for the irregular-shaped
property, while at the same time reducing the apparent
scale of the 8000-square-foot synagogue in a residential
neighborhood.
Built for an orthodox congregation,
men and women have separate entrances, and the 20-foot
high main sanctuary is overlooked by a women's mezzanine on two sides.
